Choose the right model and system

Product capabilities differ by model. Check the selected product's protocol, power supply, wiring, supported loads, dimensions and installation documents. Button count, relay count, panel finish, sensing features and dimming support should be checked separately.

A Matter over Thread device uses Thread for its smart home connection. For a typical always-on setup, use a compatible Matter controller and Thread border router; both roles may be built into one supported device. Check the exact hardware and software requirements of your chosen platform. Matter multi-admin allows a supported device to be shared with additional compatible platforms after configuration.

Wired KNX products use a different system. Check the model's KNX requirements and project design with your installer. Capabilities listed for a KNX model should not be assumed to apply to a Matter model.
