Will the sensor turn my lights on when I walk in? No. The sensor only adjusts the brightness of the light on the switch buttons. To switch lights by occupancy, set up an automation in your smart-home app with a separate sensor.

The StellarTrack Matter Smart Switch with Built-in Light & Sensor (Thread) is a SAA-certified wall switch designed for Australian homes seeking smart lighting control through Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. It uses Matter over Thread for responsive control of connected lighting and scenes. Designed for AU 240V wiring and 108-type wall boxes, it ships SAA-tested from Melbourne and is suitable for renovations, new builds, apartment retrofits and architect-led projects.

Important: The built-in human-presence sensor is used only to control the brightness of the light on the switch buttons—the button backlight. It does not control or dim the connected lights, and it does not automatically turn connected lights on or off based on room occupancy. Connected lighting is operated using the physical switch buttons, a compatible smart-home app, voice commands or automations configured separately in your smart-home platform.

StellarTrack combines smart switching, scene control and an adaptive button backlight in one streamlined panel. Its decoupled button-and-relay architecture allows physical relay control together with additional scene buttons, depending on the selected configuration. This provides greater flexibility when upgrading an existing Australian circuit without running additional cabling.

Rated load is up to 400W per circuit for incandescent lighting, and up to 200W per circuit for LED, energy-saving and other self-ballasted lamps. Voltage support spans 110–240V, 50/60Hz. Panels are available in glass, brushed metal, walnut and matte plastic, with black and white options available to suit different interiors.
