The StellarTrack Matter Smart Switch (Thread) is a SAA-certified wall switch built for Australian homes that want Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa control on a single panel, without an extra hub. It speaks Matter over Thread directly, so lighting, scenes and presence-triggered automations keep running even when the internet drops. Designed for AU 240V wiring and 108-type wall boxes, it ships SAA-tested from Melbourne and suits renovators, new builds, apartment retrofits and architect-led projects across Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Most smart switches sold in Australia separate three things: the radio, the sensor and the scene controller. StellarTrack combines them. A built-in human-presence sensor and ambient-light sensor sit inside the same panel as the Matter-over-Thread radio, so the switch can turn lights on as you walk in, dim them at night, and trigger scenes, all locally, all on-device. Every StellarTrack you install also extends the Thread mesh for your other Thread devices (locks, blinds, sensors), so a 3-bedroom home becomes more reliable with each unit added, not slower.
The decoupled button-and-relay architecture lets a 1/2/4-gang panel drive 1, 2 or 3 physical relays plus unlimited scene buttons, useful when an electrician is reworking an existing AU circuit without pulling new cabling. Rated load is up to 400W per channel for LED, energy-saving, fluorescent or incandescent lights. Voltage support spans 110–240V, 50/60Hz, with dual-band 2.4/5GHz fallback for instant reconnection. Panels are available in glass, brushed metal, walnut and matte plastic in black or white, so you can match the panel to the room rather than the other way around.
