Matter & Thread Human Presence Sensor

The Arklyfe Matter & Thread Human Presence Sensor is a SAA-certified embedded presence sensor that speaks Matter over Thread directly, so it pairs natively with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and other Matter ecosystems without an extra hub or proprietary gateway. Unlike traditional PIR motion sensors that only react to movement, this sensor detects actual human presence: including someone sitting still on a sofa, reading in bed, or working at a desk, using 24G radar technology that distinguishes a person from a fan, curtain or shadow. The presence-vs-motion distinction is what changes day-to-day automation. A standard motion sensor triggers the lights when you walk in and turns them off after a fixed timer, which is why a PIR-driven bathroom light snaps off while you're still in the shower, and why a study light dims while you're sitting at the desk. The Arklyfe presence sensor detects movement, micro-movement and stationary presence, so the lights, HVAC or scenes follow the person, not the timer. Left and right zone detection further refines the trigger, letting one sensor drive different automations for two halves of a room.

Hardware-side, the sensor runs on a wide voltage input of 90–260Vac, 50/60Hz, so the same SKU fits AU 240V mains without extra adapters. The 24G anti-interference antenna resists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal pollution that destabilises cheaper radar sensors in dense smart-home environments. Embedded installation via a Φ55mm cutout keeps the sensor flush with ceiling or wall plasterboard, so it disappears into the architecture rather than sitting as a visible white plastic box.
