The Arklyfe Starlight Guard Metal Conch 6MP is the active-deterrent version of the Conch outdoor PoE camera, built for Australian homes that don't just want to record an intruder, they want to scare them off in real time. The Guard tier adds two-way audio, a white-light intruder alert, alarm I/O integration and face capture to the same 6MP all-metal chassis. Shipped from Melbourne with the IP66 weather rating that handles standard AU residential and small-commercial outdoor mounting positions.
Three features make the Guard meaningfully different from the standard Conch. The built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio lets you talk through the camera from your phone, useful when a delivery driver is at the door, when a contractor is on site, or when someone is loitering at the front gate and a single "you're being recorded" through the camera ends the situation before it starts. The white-light alert turns on a bright spotlight when the camera detects a perimeter breach, the same deterrent principle as a motion-triggered floodlight, but driven by AI rather than every passing possum. The face capture snaps high-resolution face images for later identification, separate from the continuous video stream.
The AI feature set still does the heavy lifting. Intelligent human and vehicle detection filters noise, perimeter intrusion detection with tripwire lets you draw boundaries at the front fence and driveway entry, and alarm input/output integrates the camera with an existing alarm panel, siren or other smart-home triggers, so a perimeter breach can trigger lights, sirens or smart-lock lockdowns alongside the white-light alert. For homes where active deterrent matters as much as monitoring, the Guard 6MP is the right product.
