The Rochester Residence in Balwyn, Victoria, is a premium smart home upgrade delivered by Arklyfe Australia, currently under active installation. This project brings together a whole-home motorised curtain system and a enhanced home theatre experience, transforming a high-end residence into a fully integrated smart living environment.

Motorised Curtain System

Arklyfe's motorised curtain motors have been installed across every window in the Rochester Residence, enabling centralised scene-based control from a wall panel, voice command, or mobile app. One of the defining challenges of this installation was the double-height void space in the main living area, where large-scale sheer curtains required a structurally robust solution capable of smooth, silent operation at height.

Through a custom-engineered track configuration and precise motor calibration, the Arklyfe team delivered whisper-quiet curtain movement, eliminating one of the most common frustrations in luxury residential design: inaccessible high-level window treatments that are difficult to reach and operate manually.

Home Theatre: 9.4.4 Dolby Atmos

The audio-visual component of the Rochester Residence has been upgraded to a 9.4.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound configuration, delivering one of the most immersive home cinema experiences available for residential installation in Melbourne. The theatre is fully integrated with the Arklyfe smart home system, allowing curtains, lighting, and audio to respond together to a single scene command.
