The KNX Standard Smart Switch is a wired, bus-powered wall switch built on the KNX international standard — the same protocol specified in most architect-led Australian custom homes, premium apartments and luxury hotel fitouts. Unlike wireless smart switches, a KNX switch sits on a 24–30V bus that runs alongside your mains wiring, so it never depends on Wi-Fi, never needs a cloud account, and stays live for the 25-year service life of the building. Designed for AU 108-type back boxes and SAA-certified for Australian compliance, it suits new builds, full renovations and architect-specified projects across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Each panel is more than a switch. A built-in human-proximity sensor turns lighting on as you approach and off after a configurable delay, while a built-in temperature sensor feeds room data back to the KNX system to automate HVAC, ducted air conditioning and underfloor heating. That means one switch can replace what would otherwise be three discrete devices — a switch, a PIR sensor and a thermostat — which keeps the wall clean and the installation cost down. Backplate lighting makes the panel easy to find at night without flooding the room.

Available in 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8-gang layouts to match any circuit count. Materials and finishes span sprayed black or white, frosted white, walnut, leather, antique bronze, spa grey, brushed brass, brushed gold, twilight purple and comfort green — so the switch reads as an interior-design choice, not an afterthought. Character backlights and icons can be customised at project level (logos, room numbers, function labels), which is why specifiers use these panels in hotels, body-corporate developments and signature residences.
