The KNX Standard Smart Switch is a wired, bus-powered wall switch built on the KNX international standard — the same protocol specified in most architect-led Australian custom homes, premium apartments and luxury hotel fitouts. Unlike wireless smart switches, a KNX switch sits on a 24–30V bus that runs alongside your mains wiring, so it never depends on Wi-Fi, never needs a cloud account, and stays live for the 25-year service life of the building. Each panel is more than a switch. A built-in human-proximity sensor turns lighting on as you approach and off after a configurable delay, while a built-in temperature sensor feeds room data back to the KNX system to automate HVAC, ducted air conditioning and underfloor heating. That means one switch can replace what would otherwise be three discrete devices — a switch, a PIR sensor and a thermostat — which keeps the wall clean and the installation cost down. Backplate lighting makes the panel easy to find at night without flooding the room.
